Memorial Day Plans - South Florida
 

Who's doing what? A few of us are heading out of Port Everglades Sunday down to Haulover to party then back to Lauderdale. I'm fairly confident a party will follow :).

Supposed to be a big group at Lake Sylvia. Probably a mixed crowd (kids/family) so not sure how rowdy it will get. I've got to do some "interviewing" this week to see who's coming with...:D

Staying home to work on the house. Boat is not quite ready, and I have been slacking on the house stuff. Where is Lake Sylvia? My boat should be ready in a few weeks. Actually it is ready now other than some jetting to the carbs, and registration.

I was heading to Orlando, but we may scrap those plans and just hang around WPB-FtLaud. All I got water wise is my waverunner here, so maybe peanut Island??:drink:

It's just south of Bahia Mar, east of Pier 66. It's a smallish "harbour", with the entrance south of Bahia Mar. If you were heading south on the ICW, instead of turning west towards Port Everglades, you'd continue straight.
I'm sure Lake Boca will be packed all weekend also.

If it's nasty we'll be at Lake Sylvia or Boca. Haulover is much crazier though so I'd like to push to get there. We've got 2-4 boats as of today. "interviews" are being conducted nightly :)

Boring out of town relatives in town so I get to sit around and visit all freakin weekend. Why is it that some people have to use their vacation to suck the life out of mine?:(

Nope not me. I've have two boats, Hot4Teacher and Hot4Teacher2.
Hot4Teacher is a Glastron jet boat with a 460 that I use in the summer up in Washington State.

Palmetto Park road west of 441, the boat will be on the water soon, it is just a matter of getting the motor guy to tweak things for me. Thanks for the offer, but I work 3rd. shift, and work on the boat during the weekdays. I'll bring this back up when I go out, or start a new thread, maybe we can all meet somewhere.

What you talkin' bout Vacation, you and the wife will have 2 months off!!!

school ends for my wife in a few weeks, and I am switching to dayshift temporarily, so maybe we can run the boats on a friday night soon.

That may have just changed. Marcel just got back from Cuba at 8 this morning. It's going to be one heck of a weekend.

1.) ---Saturday, May 26, 2007 OPBA Flotilla
Location: Egmont Key – East Side in the party cove (the usual anchor spot), raft up at the barrier island located at the mouth of Tampa Bay.
Time: 12:00 – 5:00 pm
Bring your fenders, lines, beverages, food, water toys and etc….
All boats are welcome and please forward this to your l boating friends!!!






2.) ---Beer Can Island (aka Pine Key) in the north-east end of
Tampa Bay near Apollo Beach is having the annual
"Live on the Bay" with food, vendors, Live bands.
They haul a stage out there and have a vip tent.:evilb:

The Lake Sylvia party has been heavily promoted, and always goes off on Memorial Day. Sunday the 27th from 1pm-???

They anchor out in the intercoastal right square in the middle directly in front of the inlet bridge. There is a shallow area where you will see 40 - 50 boats all anchored out and people swimming around

Got the control cables hooked up today, controls installed, and the prop is on, now if I could just get my damn mechanic over here to rejet the carbs.
