The 25 replaced the 24 in 1998. The weight difference is prob about 500lbs. The 25 has a 24* bottom with a small pad in the last couple feet.
They are both too heavy to be towed behind a grand cherokee.
weight with trailer will be around 5500-6500lbs.

Griff's right, if you can swing a 25 Outlaw, you should. For the reasons he mentioned plus it has smoother lines than the sharp lines of the 24 OL. Though, you'll be able to find a 24OL for a lot less money I believe.

a stock 454 pushed our 24 OL to just over 60 if I remember correctly.

How about my 26 T-Bred does 82, 1993 with a supercharged 509 does a little over 60 id say=-) weight from what im told is 5000k with a great free board and ride though ruff stuff

appreciate the replies... my grand cherokee I believe is rated at 7200 or 7500 lbs towing, but I would like to keep it down around 6000 total. I think the 26 footer is too much boat for me weight wise not engine wise

.and besides your in Mass I'm in SW Missouri... thanks

By the way the Sutphen looks great but your too far away and probably too heavy.

All good. My wife has the new Grand Cherokee, and I wouldn't even think about towing the sutphen with her rig. Even a Baja 24 would be pushing it for more than just a couple miles.

You don't want to pull anything more than 5000 lbs. with that Jeep GC. The wheelbase is too short, and the braking system is not the best. The trailer weight will push you all over the road. Most of the trailers you see are surge brake systems which means they rely on the trucks braking system to engage, and then the trailer brakes engage as the trailer surges forward against the stopping tow vehicle. With that short wheel base, you are likely to get pushed out of the way before the trailer brakes engage. Remember, surge brakes only work going foward, and when the truck and trailer are in a straight line.
