Nope! I just put in 145 gallons at $4.20 a gallon yesterday. can you say $600?

High gas prices just mean less money for the strippers, not less gas! :p

I like this quote from the article
"Leon says he spent 18-dollars on seven gallons of gas"
Where is this dude buying gas... I need to go there !!!
I went out this weekend ... Used less than a half a tank but when I topped off the tank it was 131.00 in the boat and 50.00 in the truck outch that is 181.00 for gas

I actually found gas cheaper on the water than on land (first time I've ever seen that). The BP on Harsens Island $3.58 gallon for 87 the BP on the way home $3.59 gallon for 87. I know, only a penny but still shocking none the less. First time on the big lake for me last week so I did a lot of driving to see who was out, but I already plan on just making trips from the boat launch to Gull Island and back. Cutting out a lot of sight seeing. However, if I'm sitting at an island I'll just spend more on :drink:

We left the Fountain home and went to the family cabin and used our kayaks. No fuel, totally green ..............................
but spent $90 plus dollars on truck gas to get up north and back. No escape.
But all is not lost. The new kayak has a cup holder!!!!!!!!

Did not see any boats at all - but it was raining all weekend. I didn't get any of my boats out either - just sat on a lawn chair and enjoyed the view from the porch. Saw one new cat late on Monday, looked like he was putting in break-in hours.

I am going to move down to a smaller single engine boat

502SCS 05-29-2007 03:59 PM

I know a good portion of us here on OSO have deeper pockets than some but I am very glad I went down to a boat almost half the size and 1 big block. The old boat was 150 gal fill up and drank it like it was going outta style

Yep, I hold 165 gal and it is empty now, at 4.10 a gallon thats $675.00 to fill her up (tank lasts one poker run= 1 day). I don't know about you all, but I have to work pretty hard to earn that kind of cash. Not everybody that owns a boat is rich.
