Great Job Fountain, sounds a little strange, 15 min. before the race. At least the sanctioning body wasnt American. Remember they went over seas to get a level playing field and for more even competition.

One hour prior to race time P1 officials made the Outerlimits add 500lbs of weight to the boat. Because of this this added weight the boat ran on the front step, keeping water out of the water pickup. Thus, it could only run 80mph before overheating. Also, the boat was cut off and hosed down at the start of the race, boat putting them in dead last. Because of this the boat did not dry out and really get going again until the fourth lap when they started picking through the pack and only finished 9 seconds out of second place. Not bad for all that crap happening. We'll see what happens when OL makes some key adjustments for Germany!

A bit of a coincidence, but the very boat turned up in the shed next to where I'm working at the moment.
Until now, I hadn't been a fan of "toupee's" products, but what a gorgeous looking boat it is!
