I rented a Viper on the strip. 450 for the day with a warning about excessive tire wear. They measured tread depth before and after. Had a great run out to the dam and beyond. Ran the p out of it, filled it with gas and handed it back. No air kinda sucked. My legs got Boat Tan, er burn actually. Knee caps to bottom of shorts. Sure beat handing the cash to a blackjack dealer.

As I was picking up the car, a Ferrari came in on a flat bad looking much worse for wear. Apparently, mr renter took it off road at a high rate of speed. Bye Bye security deposit.

Bern,
last time I was out there I looked at renting a Ferrari, the $400 +/- cost wasn't so bad it was the $2 per mile after the first 100 that stopped me!
I rented a Mustang GT Conv. for $100 and had just about as much fun shredding the tires w/ unlimited miles.
Check Hertz because they are renting the Shelby H again along with Vettes and 350z conv.

It's about 100 miles for pretty straight road through the desert with minimal traffic so you can haul azz!

You are going to want A/C though. Not too bad today but it's been 103 the last couple days and will get warmer. When will you be here?

Be there from the 13th to 18th

Last time I was out I rented a Harley and had a blast. Something else to consider, plus it's a lot cheaper.
