Yeah, but isn't Indy like Kentucky where you have to pay a tax every year based on the book value of the vehicle to get your tags?? I think my wifes H3 cost us a couple hundred last year. I need to re-up my 11 yr old C-1500 next week for $75.
Ohio at least had (and I think still has) a Flat rate.
If I recall when I lived there, it was about $30 for a regular car, SUV, Light duty Truck. About $100 to put comm. plates on my Dually.

The taxes in Ms. use to be 3% iand tags were very expensive. Then they went to 5% taxes to lower tags a little bit. the counties are divided into different sectors. So if you drive a new F350 and live in the nicer part of the county you will pay more taxes than someone with the same truck that lives in the not so nice part of town. They make you pay more because live in a nicer house...What B.S.....

We dont have that problem in south florida... you get off the boat and they hand you the keys to a 12 ton concrete truck, no license, no citizenship, no tests, you find out how to drive after they tip over a few times
