There is a ramp at city Island, just across the bay.
Map Quest Mote Marine laboratory - The ramp is next to it.

KITTEN, Hey I'm new to the area and haven't been to Sarasota by boat yet. I would be launching at the Gandy Ramp would you mind a tag-along, I will be running a 35 Donzi. Or is there anyone else that wants to run down on Sat or Sun?

Nick, Cool pics I guess that means you will be on the beach. Hey did you find a set of manifolds yet? Still hoping to catch up with you sometime?

I did some research on Ken Thompson park and saw it on Google Earth, the ramp looks nice, but I read on several other boating forums (CC fishing guys) that it's just way too shallow, even at high tide.

Yep. For this particular race I like the beach better, and the Holiday Inn is right there with a bar, food and bathrooms, and then it's a quick drive to the parties.

Looks like I'll be going with the stainless marine manifolds, they came in highly recommended and price is reasonable. I've got my mechanic on it, so it'll be soon I hope.
