Depends. I like Saturdays for the same reason as most - because I'm not yet dreading Monday work.

I also like Sunday late afternoons / evenings because I live at the shore. When I see all the people heading in, and think about the traffic on the Garden State Parkway they are about to sit in, I am remninded of why I moved here.

I get the feeling most do their boating locally??

What about those that travel say 30-60-90 miles each way "on the boat" to their destinations?

Where I'm located we have to travel a lot but the ride is the best part. Yeah, I go to the local raft ups a lot and down the river but you can't beat running an hour, hour and a half out to lunch in another state!! Then when you get home and the guys with the cruisers ask you were you've been... I just say, yeah we went to Long Island, New York, Barnegat etc. for a hamburger! They usually look at me with a "WTF" look on their faces...

It's all relative.... I consider a trip to be at least 45 min to an hour to my destination from the time I leave the dock.

BTW, you used to tell me how far Fire Island was, and how far a trip it was... But it was only 15-20 min futher than where we both were last weekend...

Now run out to Davis park or Watch Hill and see how much further it is then just the inlet. You can't look at your GPS cause you're gonna need to cross great south bay S-N-S-N to get that far east.

If I can get the plugs and oil changed early enough was thinking about running down to AC on Sat. Want to make the run?

I like the sound of those TRIPS. Our lake is only 7 miles long. We rarely even get them stretched out. We make up for it with the boozin though.

Well, it's kinda like ..... um ........ um ............ what day are you taking me on the boat with you. I'm easy like that, I really don't have a preference!

A 10 minute notice is all I need to get my crap together and head to the marina.
