Have you been out lately? Haven't see ya running around yet. :bunny:

20 Month old daughter, my Wife is pregnant again and due in September, etc...Everything just moves slower.

Funny you should ask. A few weeks ago I dipped it in Atlantic Highlands to leave for Atlantic City. Two alarms went off and I couldnt go over 1500 RPM's (guardian mode). To make a long story short boat has been in service for a few weeks (for no good reason) . I'm trying to get it on the water this weekend. I maintain this boat with an open checkbook...I can't stand the marine service people that I've been dealing with. I'm hoping to be out this weekend.

For me and my crew, we consider Friday late afternoons to Sunday around 8P as primtime boating. Get to the lakehouse around 5P Friday, get things set up, can be out on the water by 7P. Saturdays and Sundays cruise at our discretion, and do whatever comes to mind. As stated in a previous post, dinner on dock around 7P Sunday is nice. Clean up, and head home easy 2-1/2 hour drive Sunday night. Easy.

Have a great summer everyone.

This is an intersting thread, I love Friday nights and Saturdays, Sunday is nice but usually filled with a little anxiety about Monday. I hate to say good-bye to the weekends.

chit, i get to the marina about 6pm friday night and leave the marina about 8pm sunday. but i have been working alot of saturdays so i leave the marina at 8am and come back at 5pm. my guess for the reason most people boat on sunday is the fact that you have to work 6 days a week to pay for the toys.

It's gonna be nice on Saturday, 80 and sunny!

30 minutes tops, if you figure both ways you're already at the max for one of your "trips"

But, if ya wanna leave around 10am, and actually go in the inlet and get lunch, and maybe have sis meet us, and then come back, and get back to Sea Bright around 4-5pm ...... that sounds like a plan. Friggin ex-racers, really just like running in circles with no actual destination or plans

When the guy you're supposed to be running with won't go that far cause "I run the boat too much and beat the snot out of it" then ya gotta turn around. If you get pinky to run to AC I'll buy you lunch....on Monday :drink:

The only reason he's decided to go to AC is because I told him I was going to Barnegat.... He just wants to say he is going further... It's kinda sad...

If I told you him I was going to Montauk this weekend he would say he's going to Maine. If I said AC, he'd be going to the C&D canal. :chimp:

So where am I going....to where I said I was going..... Barnegat to meet up with MTM... That's the plan, be there or be square.... :evilb:

Have fun in AC! :drink:

Funny when you were sitting at the fuel dock you said you were going to Fire Island. So that where I went.
I give up
Panther: You need to get your boat running, I've been running for a month.
Me:I have the whaler running since April
Panther:that doesn't count, its not your main boat.
Pull up next to Panther on the island, him in the resin bucket me in the whaler:eek: Yea I need a big bad offshore boat to run the river.

Panther:Its not about running, its about hanging out.
Me:I like to run otherwise I can hang out at the pool.
Panther:You run too far. Its not about that. You beat the snot of our your boat.
Me:Yea, that's why I have it.

Even the kid was telling you that ya gotta be out there running. :evilb:

You told me you might stay local, so BS that's your "plan" or do I need to pull the yahoo chat log. The kid and I talked about AC long before we chatted today, don't flatter yourself. You know if the kid didn't want to run I'd just as soon fire up the slush machine and sit by the pool all day. Get MTM and head to AC, its just a short sprint for him. By the time I do the plugs, ignition, oil...have to run and get parts so I can actually do the work and to restock the boat from the "loans" I made to people, we'd probably get there the same time.
