Where is the best place to put in. I've put in at the state park right off Blarney's Island a few times, but the state cops are thick pulling out there. Looking for a new place to launch.

I use Ben Watt's marina in Fox Lake. Lots of parking and nice ramps. About 12 minutes south by road from the state park on route 12 as you head south out of the town of Fox lake.

The cops are always out in force on thursday nights. If your the driver it's better to just not drink at all. Then if you get stopped you won't be stopped for long.

Also where would I launch
2 hours from Milwaukee at most. You can put in at Blarney's boat launch on Grass Lake Road by their other bar where the shuttle boat goes out to the island. There is plenty of parking for trailers. It is about a 10 minute boat ride from there. Go out the channel and turn right into Grass Lake, you can't miss it.

On Grass Lake in the Chain O'Lakes in northeastern Illinois. The Chain is a group of lakes formed by the Fox River system. About an hour and a half north of Chicago.

Thats too bad, on the sunrise side we had a few 8ft'rs and many 6's, sunny and cool but the waves were a blast. Next day it was flat, like today.
