We tested a set Merc. Hi-Perf made for us. Better top-end speeds, no doubt, however much longer time to plane off as you would expect. Also you just don't feel as 'connected'. You have to drive the boat a little more.
The easiest, most user friendly props were the Maximus but they ran slower. None the less it is the prop of choice for over all. You can run mid 90s all day long and hardly have to do a thing but pay attention. Although pricey, these 6-blades are expected to meet somewhere in the middle. We've been working with Julie at T/U to see if these are the ticket for the NXT drives. |

This is the first boat with NXT and bravo style props I have seen, all the others run the #6 props. How are they working?
|
I see it is not in the classifieds anymore, did it sell?
|
We've just finished the #3 boat. No reason what so ever to switch to a #6 from my perspective.
My best guess is that our DDC hull design compliments it's characteristics. |
Very nice!

I was in a 37 AT with the 700/NXT package down in Key West and I can tell you that it is a really nice setup. The boat was as stable and predictable as can be and the 700/NXTs seemed to be a perfect fit for the boat. The cabin was incredible and had all the things you could ask for, but the boat still performed like others with a lesser cabin. Comfort and speed all in one package!

The new 6-pack is really a spectacular setup. You are locked into the boat.
The storage compartment has enclosed subwoofers as well, which are part of the structure of the cockpit, not just dropped in boxes. Wait until you see what is in store for the '08 Miami Boat Show. |
I can't wait
|
This boat is still available. The classified ad expired and has not yet been renewed.

OUTBOARDS ??? :evilb: |
the 6 pak boat? is this the same one that was on the james river run? if so...wow what a ride...I ran down river with them I was wide open and they were just staying with me, because they could. Pat followed me into the lunch stop and that boat was on rails and handled like a dream. I enjoyed watching it run on the river...seemed to me it was effortless motion.

Not sure they have it completely dialed in yet. I know they've gone well over the century mark.

I am sitting here on the mother ******* *** * ** *** ***** ********* runway at JFK with a couple hundred airplanes waiting to take off; so I've got some time.
The boat pictured at the beginning of this thread was at the 2007 Jammin' on the James Poker Run, and a few others. It is 37AT #2 w/ 700SCi/NXTs. It has side/side electric front bolsters and a third drop in/removable third front bolster/back. The back seat is a sit down bench with 3 divided/combed seats. This boat was tested by Poker Runs America late this summer. It's George Magnifico's personal demo boat. He built it, dialed it in a bit to his liking, and its for sale. PRA's test was 105mph and change with AC, and full cabin amenities; etc. The green boat pictured just above is 37AT #3 with 700SCi/NXTs. It was finished a mere few moments before departure to the 2007 Key West 'ThunderRun' last month, to the Worlds. It will be tested by Powerboat Magazine later this month, and will be seen a bit more next season in some Poker Runs. Its personally owned by a South Florida resident, and it is affectionately known as "The Color of Money." It has a LOT of unique custom work done to it, and its still getting some new and interesting stuff. These include custom painted motors and accessories, second cockpit/engine bulkhead/storage, side/side electric front bolsters with a drop in third bolster/back, AND 3-electric stand up BOLSTERS across the back of the cockpit. It has a little more basic cabin per its owners wishes. Its getting a few sets of COTS and custom props banged out. Its a PHENOMENAL boat. |

I am totally burned out on business travel. I detest it.
|
Agree on the business travel and detesting it. I've been traveling for 15 years. It's just not convenient any longer, no options on flights, barely leave and arrive on time......it'll most likely get worse before it gets better!
|
Both very nice boats, but is that the best hatch they could come up with for the green boat?
