All I can say is WOW! My good friend George just took delivery of this bad a## machine.Pat and the fellas over at Active Thunder have really out done them selve's this time in my oppinion. Stuning paint, inlaid interior, matching color coated carbon fiber guages and dash panel's, air conditioning.
Plus the new 700 N.XX.T packeges to boot.
Absolutely georgeous is truly an under statement. I am still in awe.
This boat "Will" rival the likes of Fountain, Outerlimit's, Cigarette, and the like. the attention to detain is just beautiful.
You have to see this boat in person.

Congrat's Georgie. Good luck brother

Great job AT!:evilb:

Back4More 07-01-2007 09:46 PM

Nicest AT I've ever seen!:drink:

boatfreak 07-01-2007 10:14 PM

This boat was still at the factory when I was down a few weeks ago and it truly is a work of art. The depth of the paint and the images in the paint has to be some of the best work A.T. has ever done.

JCPERF 07-01-2007 10:38 PM

What happened to Georges Chief[I mean Active thunder]?:evilb:

blaniac 07-01-2007 11:35 PM

"INCREDIBLE" does not begin to describe how nice this AT came out !!

Just wondering why so quiet on the numbers ?!?

Well its about time. I have been waiting for this post for awhile. I understand that this is a performance boat site But why is the speed ALLWAYS the first question? Why can't it be about the fit and finish, cabin space, cockpit space, freeboard, handleing, storage space, dockmanners, layup, ect. I meen its got 700s in it what difference does it make if it does 99 or 105 0r 102 or whatever? It is a floating condo that will run around 75 allday through just about anything the water can through at it in comfert and style without beating the tar out of the motors. I guess my question is, what is the over all package and what would I be getting for all the money that is being spent and lets face it there will be alot of it. There are other builders out there that claim big speeds in 35 to 42 ft boats for about the same money BUT what are you really getting over all? Well thats my rant ,I am just glad to see someone else sees it, so let the slamming begin:D

I guess everyone has their own reason for buying a particular boat. Some like a nice cabin, AC, Gen, ect. Others buy a boat for performance reasons. Active Thunder seems to have created a best of both worlds. I was just curious about the performance numbers.

ActiveThunder 07-02-2007 07:50 AM

On this boat we don't know that answer yet. We didn't wring the 6-bladders out in A/C as we had wanted. However I will say it was on rails in the mid-90s as expected with the extra blade.

It's going to run triple-digits if that is the question.

It's hard to tell from the picture but is the headliner glue-up carpet or Vinyl?

That boat is vinyl, but the headliner is whatever you want it to be. Its a custom boat. :D If you want pink ostrich and albino leopard skin, just say the word.

There's no doubt I'd rather buy a custom boat than a production boat any day of the week. I don't even care if it's faster/slower!

Fenderjack 07-02-2007 09:58 AM

Beautiful boat. I love it...

In addition and hypothetically speaking, if everything else was equal in comparing two or more boats for purchase consideration, top speed may be the deciding factor. There are certainly MANY other things that should and need to be considered, but as guys go, we all like to have a fast boat and hate it when our buddies boat is faster. Personally, I think value, handling and customer service after the sale are more important than the top number, as the top number can always be manipulated with prop & gear, but will usually suffer in day to day functionality in relation to customary boating habits.

ktron 07-02-2007 10:55 AM

Beautiful boat!!! The colors are really cool and different. I am just wondering why they are not running the big #6 style props? I would think it would make the boat handle even better. Just a thought. Like I said beautiful boat!

First props on the boat, and George is still dialing it in. He'll get some sweet numbers out of it.

We tested a set Merc. Hi-Perf made for us. Better top-end speeds, no doubt, however much longer time to plane off as you would expect. Also you just don't feel as 'connected'. You have to drive the boat a little more.

The easiest, most user friendly props were the Maximus but they ran slower. None the less it is the prop of choice for over all. You can run mid 90s all day long and hardly have to do a thing but pay attention.

Although pricey, these 6-blades are expected to meet somewhere in the middle. We've been working with Julie at T/U to see if these are the ticket for the NXT drives.
