Default Convert mpeg to wmv??

Anyone know how to do it???

A friend took some video at the NYC poker run and I downloaded it to my computer. It was in .vob format and I converted it to mpeg/mpg but I can't figure out how to convert the mpg/mpeg over to wmv so I can upload it on the internet........

Any freeware out there that does this?

Shareware though, puts a logo in the video file though once you convert it.

Along these same lines, what format does a video have to be in to play on the home DVD, i.e. take video, burn it to a disk, and plug in to play?

I tried importing the video into movie maker and it won't recognize it, that's the problem I'm having.

For some reason when I converted from the VOB format to MPG it didn't pick it up....
