Jammin on the James: Roll Call

Seven days. Getting stoked. Have 3 boats 10-12 people from whats left of the Lake Murray Gang coming. Any numbers yet on how many boats might be attending. I know Dockman will have his so that's at least one more than we thought would make it.:D

Sydwayz 07-06-2007 10:24 AM

BT & MS on Monsoon.

Velocity390 07-06-2007 12:59 PM

We have at least 10 boats coming from Lake Norman area.

docmanrich37 07-06-2007 01:01 PM

I should make it on thursday night and splashin the boat on fri. morning.Frig. stocked and 10 gallons of moitos.Just watch out for the girl selling the jello shooters.I still hurt from last year from those things.

oui 07-06-2007 01:01 PM

Any room for one more from Richmond and where do I register?

wigginout 07-06-2007 01:36 PM

PM Excursion. I know THE hotel is booked but don't know about the run.

Macklin 07-06-2007 03:45 PM

Yeah Baby! Got a bunch of boats coming up from Hampton Roads. This will be my first! Had planned to do it last year, but had to cancel at the last minute due to unfortunate circumstances.

Let's all say a prayer for nice weather.

wigginout 07-06-2007 06:47 PM

Steve are you in D.C.? Any chance of you attending?

offshoredrillin 07-06-2007 07:37 PM

I'll be there with a buddy and his girl, I'm not sure if the girl I asked will have to work...it's ok i do just fine solo :D

slboatdrinks 07-06-2007 08:08 PM

We're there. Magic cooler filled to the brim. :D

For after the run of course. :drink:

ACTIVESHACK 07-06-2007 08:14 PM

We wouldn't miss it for anything. Plan to drive up for the Friday Captains meeting :drink: and run up Saturday morning in the boat :D

Sydwayz 07-06-2007 08:16 PM

I talked to Steve Schuble. He is coming.

A word of towing advice. AVOID TOWING ON I-295 in the Richmond area. It is concrete, and is VERY bumpy. MANY boats/trailers have jumped off the hitch ball and other damage over the years. I just drove I-295 North of Jordan Point/Hopewell, and the rear of my truck was getting air (not towing).

Use I-95 instead. It make take you 5-10 minutes longer, but its absolutely worth it.

wigginout 07-06-2007 08:44 PM

Brian staying at Homewood Suites at I95 and Route 10. About how far is that from Jordon Pt. Coming in Thurs. night. Hope the weather is half as good as last year. Is your liver ok from the accident? Like to put a little dent in it at Sat night party.:drink:

runnin gun 07-06-2007 08:45 PM

The wife and I will be there I hope to make it all the way this year. Brian by the way Petra said thanks again for the ride last year.

Stayed at the Marriott right near there last year. You're 20 minutes away from JP straight down Rt. 10 if I remember correctly.

Terry, Petra is welcome anytime. Linnie says you are welcome on his boat too. :D You never know, you might find her in my cabin next time; watching a "movie" even. :evilb:

_______________

I am on a T-dock on Friday night. Some (more) available slips are questionable as of today, but provided we are not getting a ridiculous storm on Friday night, and JP will allow it; we can raft a couple boats off of me for Friday night. We will have to decide on Friday.
The more boats we can get in the water on Friday, the better, and not have to worry about tide, crowding, and the long line for the ramp on Saturday morning.

runnin gun 07-06-2007 09:55 PM

I am sure that JP will let people raft off of each other on the side of the fuel dock were they had all of us at last year Brian.

Help Please!!

DESPERATELY looking for this girl:

http://www.killsometime.com/video/video.asp?ID=986

I will idle for all 100 miles of this Poker Run if I can watch her on the bow of Crowd Pleaser.

(If I had a pole on the bow of my boat, I would always be in the 'glass shop because I'd be running into everything.)

I could do the run in a sailboat to watch her on the mast :evilb: :D

wigginout 07-07-2007 07:43 AM

Nothing like having your own stripper pole in your house to practice on. Surprised she has'nt worn the chrome off on that one.:D

wigginout 07-09-2007 04:51 PM

3 days till I'm outta here. Weather is looking good. Hope everyone getting jacked. This has to be one of the best poker runs. This coming from people who have done quite a few. Only Key West and maybe Jacksonville are better or few others to the Keys. I'll be looking for the Fountain with the stripper pole cut through his deck again.:evilb:

I cleared it with Mary Sue.

If we find this chic, Mark and I are buying a sailboat for next year's Poker Run.

We will be there. Leaving early Friday morning, with about 3 boats.

offshoredrillin 07-10-2007 08:58 AM

I'm heading out fri about noon, might hook up with the lake murray gang. I'm going to put in at osborne on fri or sat, I have heard the ramps are better for big boats, anyone else?

Reckless32 07-10-2007 03:44 PM

Not sure yet, but I may drive up from the beach to collect my bag and hang out for awhile if I can get out of a dinner date....

Otherwise see ya at Smithfield.

runnin gun 07-10-2007 04:41 PM

At low tide you have to be carefull at osbornes. I launch my 42 sonic at hopewell and have never had a problem leaving the truck there over the weekend.

One thing I will say if you're at Jordan Point and have a problem you'll have a two hundred people there to help you.:D

45sonic 07-10-2007 08:40 PM

Bill & Patti with "Sea-N-Red" will be there Fri.

WHERE is the best ramp for the larger boats? We have a 45 Sonic and I know there are others with the same concern.

As far as bypassing 295 is it just 95 to Rt 10??

runnin gun 07-10-2007 10:09 PM

Bill I am towing down 295 and do it every weekend. I am putting the 42 in at hopewell they have plenty of room for parking. Call me on my cell and we can try to meet up some were.
