Thanks again!

TexomaPB, under the officers and directors page, there is a Director named with an address in California. What's going on with this deal? I know Brett is in Texas, but now we findo info from FL and from CA? That's a little odd.
I don't know.........but if he is in FL and TX then he is probobly in CA too. I would be if I was in the business. Could be outdated info, could be a LLC with limited partners and general partners. Good luck on the fix.

On another note - Powerboat Mag had a nice little segment on what to look for and how to shop for a trailer. Maybe its not too late to take it back and buy a different brand.

Well, Brett from Instigator never picked it up. I think I am going to have the credit card charged back and tell him to pick up his trailer.

Has anybody done this before? Are there any real repercussions to doing this? It seems like the only way to get the problem solved.

I spoke with Gary at Nextrail today, and he said he had heard that Instigator is in Chapter 11. Is there anywhere on the internet that can be verified? I'd imagine it should be a matter of public record.

Oh, and JPD, if this goes ugly, I may take you up on your "offer"!

I have had good luck with printing out a "warrant in debt" form off of the internet, filling it out, sending it to the "defendent", and threatening to file it if they won't work something out within a certain time period.

I made the mistake of ordering some granite countertops online - yada yada one year later I still didn't have anything, so I threatened to file a Warrant in Debt in my local general district court if they didn't work something out by the end of the week, being sure to cite the fact that it would cost them several thousand just to fly out and defend themselves. I had my money fully refunded by the end of the week. I am currently doing the same thing for our wedding photographer who has run off with our $1,600 deposit.

Just a thought, but it always gets their attention!?!?!

I don't think I'm looking for that just yet!

I'm going to go today and charge the card back and he can come get it and keep it! He's had every opportunity to do the right thing, but he has failed to at every step. Time to stop fuggin around and hit him where it REALLY hurst.

Thanks for the offer W, I'll let you know if we get there!

Chargeback paperwork put in. He has 60 days to respond. If no response, automatic refund. I bet I hear from him now
