I put numerous boats on trailers by myself the same way, takes only seconds.

i also load boats like this when i am by myself, i wouldnt do do it with anyone immediatly behind me, but i find that leaving the boat in gear can greaty help when cranking the last 5 feet.....as long as your careful i dont see it being a huge problem.......but i always trim the drives up:rolleyes:

I never use the public ramp any more to many idoits out there. I would rather pay the money to use the private ramps.

We keep our boat on a lift right across ffrom a busy public ramp...
I'd pay double what I pay now if they wanted just for the continuing entertainment the best spot at the Marina offers! Hell we go in early and break out the lawn chairs now-days... :D Never a dull moment at the ramp!

I have left one or both drives in gear at idle long enough to go up and hook the winch strap. Then gone back, and killed the motors, trimmed the drives out, and winched the boat the rest of the way up.

This guy was at at-least 2500 rpm. As he winched the boat up the trailer he was putting the prop deeper into the water, effectively giving it more bite. This ramp is literally at the outer apex of a narrow U-turn in the river; with a lot of boat traffic. One wrongly timed wave, and that boat would have been on the roof of his truck; with the prop still spinning.

I did not want to be anywhere this dude; much less his trailer hitch.

I launch my boat every time, and see some amazing things, I have waited behind people, they move to the dock, I move to the next open dock, launch , park my rig, start the engines pull away before they even launch the boat?? Is it that hard?

I love to watch people with roller bunks, I just know the skeg repair is about the 5th ones they've paid for

Two of us can load the boat onto the trailer in about 2 minutes without powering on. We have a good routine down and it goes real fast. Same for launching.
