I use one of these http://www.alternativewireless.com/c...ne-holder.html

I got it at Radio Shack.
It is made to mount on a vent but instead I fastened it to a flat surface with 3M double sided emblem adhesive tape. It works really well. I also have a leather case with the magnetic cover flap so it's always closed. So far nobody has splashed it but I think it will be OK if they do.

I saw a billet one advertised on here a few months ago that you could mount on the dash but i don't remember who made it. I think it was one of the west coast companys. I thought it looked pretty cool

Trust me, get the waterproof Otterbox case, and mount that to your dash.

I had to buy a new Nano due to punching through a 15' wave at Lighthouse Point in January.

I WISH I was not exaggerating! My Ipod and windscreen WISH I was not either. That thing literally crested over the bow of the boat. There was no driving up and over it. It rolled over US. (Wicked fast tide going out of a VERY narrow inlet.)

A couple I made. Grey for a buddy's grey dash and white for my dash for our Nanos.

White one is made from Delrin.
Grey one is from PVC.
