No replacement for displacement. Big fat solid roller cams and tunel rams all day baby.

For the experts out there. Question. Do drives with trannies ever have center line issues. It would seem that the #6's or NXT's tranny would take that out of the equation.

Prochargers make life simple, I'm running a 572 CI heads hyd roller cam making 1078 hp on 12 lbs boost, idle all day long no problem...
if I was into idling.....the key is a good intercooler for hp. With NA your always working w/combinations cam, heads, carbs if you make big power then you have idling problems worries of rversion etc...

Where does one find 600ci NA motors? Or is it a custom only thing

I think with the new Dart series race blocks. 11.1" deck height you can build up to 730 ci motors. The bigger they are the harder it is to make them idle because the the holes in the carb flanges and intake runners are so big that they loose frequency. Also cams are usually huge to keep them from dumping off at the top.

Definately a custom thing.

These guys build a pretty good engine. I have 582's and a freind has the 632's both NA

Super chargers all the way. It allows you to run a larger prop inturn better crusing speeds @ less RPM.

What about a couple of 540's that you could always strap a blower too later...
