In my experience, the person most likely to claim slander lives in a glass house.

JC Perf is a good sport with all this teasing. Of course, it's turned him into somewhat of a celebrity here.
They have a saying, "Bad publicity is better than no publicity." Maybe TexomaPowerboater's threatener should keep that in mind.
Also it's not against the law to have an opinion, and voice it, even if others believe the opinion is wrong, as long as it is stated as opinion.
That's my opinion.

Gotta get my $.50 worth in.....
slander.
1. defamation; calumny: rumors full of slander.
2. a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report: a slander against his good name.
3. Law. defamation by oral utterance rather than by writing, pictures, etc. –verb (used with object)
4. to utter slander against; defame. –verb (used without object)
5. to utter or circulate slander.
I have always found http://dictionary.reference.com/ to be the place to explain words that I have no idea what they mean. I keep in my favorites...I do use it alot.
Cig Daze...were you say "untruthful" is the key to the statement. That is a very big 4 letter word.
