It was a GREAT move. If they didn't let him go then he would have never been our crew chief and I would have never met him. He's a class act, one of the best people I know. I miss not seeing him almost every weekend.

I can also say that my quitting them was the best move I could have made !!

Ditto on all of the above! He really helped me out when that bolt came loose in my upper. Not needing both gears because my bottom side (reverse for me) was good, he actually grabbed another reverse from another drive from a raceboat that was getting their drives done anyways, just to be fresh. He turned a $2200 bill into an $800 bill and actually let me help take the drive off and apart. That was cool. I found it funny that he was apologizing for the design and build of the XR being that he did work for Merc. He said, "I'm really sorry about these things................but it did put my daughter through college"

So he just does disassembly and builds them. Someone else does the actual blueprinting to the outside/skegs etc?
Dueclaws I had heard Herring was around 2 month min.You dont find many people standing behind their work, Sounds like a stand up shop!!

I'll be at Craigs' daughters' wedding tomorrow. I've known him for over 22 years, a great guy and family man, they don't get any better. I still call him occasionally for advice or a favor. I'll get him on line to see you guys commending and recommending him.
