the motor does have a mechanical fuel pump;you guys are great. keep the info coming, i hope to hit the ground running tomorrow. - jeff

Has a mechanical fuel pump as actually bolted to the block, or mounted on the seawater pump?

one last thing- since the bore is 4.47(502), can it really be a gen IV? thanks - jeff

Griff is right it's a IV if it has the mech fuel pump , to the best of my knowledge the 502 gen iv were only made by mercruiser and they used a gm bowtie block
