Hi everyone. Im new to this forum so please take it easy on me, lol. Im looking at a 27ft Excalibur and I cant seem to find ANY info on them. This will be my first offshore boat but I do have boating experience up to a 23ft. This boat im looking at has a 454 single drive, and the guy wants $11700 for it.does anybody think its worth it? And like I stated in the beggining, im also looking for info on that manufacturer. ANY help would be appreciated, Thanks, John.

I used to have a 1986 27' Excalibur. I can't give you a whole lot of info though. I know Wellcraft owned the name & built them for several years.
As far as the boat goes, mine was very solid & handled very well but It was not a rocket ship by any means. Even with bigger power, it never reached more than about 65mph. Everyone I talked to said the drive height was way too low. I never got around to raising everything. As I recall, I sold it for around $15,000 many years ago.
Oh, welcome aboard!

I got a 1985. Just finished doing alot of work to it including raising the drive height. Runs pretty good now. If the VIN# starts with WEL it's a wellcraft. If not it's a Bill Farmer excalibur. He sold the molds to wellcraft in 84 or 85. Activator got them in the late 80's.
