Whetever happened to the SOB's?

I though some guys were trying to put something like that together here in the states. It looks like a fun, exciting entry into racing for folks who may not have huge budgets.

Way cool! Looks just like the Nascar boys took it to the water.

doubt we'd see anything like that here in the US.

The SOB guys were all talk and no action. If they will ever show up and race, it will be at the OPA race in Long Island on the 26th.

Reminds me of Factory 1 back in 1999 / 2000. We ran 80 + mph and had starts w/ over 20 boats. Those guy's are racing hard!

I built the first 8 boats, back in 1999, using my Extreme 21 sportsboat, after the first season, we decided not to build anymore for Honda, so Steve borrowed my moulds and built the next batch!

Here a pic of one from the first season.

And you panzies can't handle a little chine walk.

Hell, they were RUB-RAIL WALKING at times, AND NEVER LET OFF!!!

I can see why the Ocke-Manerfelt (sp) designed boats would have advantages in that type of racing. When the boat is layed over on its side, the wing can act as a rudder and you can keep steering!

That was awesome.
