Its a give and take situation. But i'd rather get their later than sooner with back problems. And i'll let you know about the width.

I didn't buy an offshore boat just to trailer it around all over the place, I bought it so we could take it offshore! :cool-smiley-011: |
Should I be aware of stress cracks where the bracket is bolted to the transom on the Concepts ? Do they crack ? Are the notorious for anything ? Can they take a beating ?

Yes, its fun doing 100 plus mile trips. What mph do you cruise at ? You could island hop all the way to South America through the Caribbean, the longest leg is about 200 miles. I charted it out. It would be fun to get 3 or 4 boats in group and go see a couple of Islands.

Beam of the 32 Carrera is 9'3" which is the main reason they and most other brands were crossed off my list.
I would love to have a wider beam boat! My boat lives on my lift 99% of the time, however I had to have some thing that was trailerable (8'6" on interstates, 8' on other routes in MD). I've never seen or heard any thing about any one ever having issues with the brackets. Concept has a life-time hull warranty for original owners- not sure if the bracket is considered part of that or not. |
