135mph 40' Outerlimits

Hey guys, just ran an incredible 40' Outerlimits in the Big Cat Poker Run, and then the next few days as well. I have to say, it was honestly the funnest ride I've ever had. Never been in a boat that could handle like that.

The motors are stock, I repeat, stock 525HP EFI's with our (Whipple) 305ax superchargers. I did a custom cal, during the start of the poker run, since we didn't have time to run before. This thing is an animal, clicked off 135mph, 102deg F day, 80deg f water temp, 800feet. It was also all over the rev limiter, and we didn't have any bigger props. I feel it will do 140-142 with a bit cooler conditions and more gear.

I attatched some photo's.

Dustin

Not really sure, were going to dyno one next week to see, I have to assume 875-900hp. We didn't have time before.

Thanks

Ya, it use to be their white race boat, but the black really makes this look stealth.

Might have to turn off your "pop up" blocker or something.

So, do you offer a direct replament from the 3.3's ? :-)

tblrklakemo 08-16-2007 01:33 PM

that black is mean

Canada Jeff 08-16-2007 01:34 PM

Actually, if you see my avatar picture, I have NO more room :-) . But I'm VERY happy with this stage two unit ! Gained 14 mph, and I should put a bigger prop on it.

rdoactive 08-16-2007 01:55 PM

Just in time for the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout?????????

Pro1 08-16-2007 02:22 PM

Engine compartment looks very roomy and comfortable to work in.

Airpacker 08-16-2007 02:30 PM

So how long will stock 525 bottom ends support 900hp anyways?

sommerfliesby 08-16-2007 02:53 PM

That thing is BAAAAAAD! I love dark color on a boat...it's just a beotch to take care of.

Smitty 08-16-2007 03:04 PM

Vey cool Dustin !!! Glad to see you back out here and continuing with an awesome product. Makes me want to start thinking about the next killer motors to put my next boat.

Is that a factory boat or did someone buy it?

Actually, the speed run was on monday, at our local lake, lake millerton. At the poker run, at 21% throttle, we ran 102mph for a majority of the time.

Hella of a good question, I would estimate 150 hours before the head gaskets will let go. But that really depends on the duty cycle of the engine.

Thanks,
Dustin

SHARKEY-IMAGES 08-16-2007 07:51 PM

Is that an air intake I see on the flat portion of the deck right next to the canopy ?

The boat looks mean in black, but has to to be hotter than hell when trying to walk on without shoes....

Magic Medicine 08-16-2007 08:00 PM

:

The raceboat that was at the NYC PR had huge air vents going to each engine.

ToTheMax 08-16-2007 09:52 PM

It will be there, and with cool ocean water, cooler air and more gear, this thing should be pretty darn fast. At 135, we were out of prop.

There are vents coming from each side. There are also some vents in the middle of the rear deck. They put a scoop on, to clear the flame arrestor, as the hatch slants a lot towards the back. This was all done in 1 week so there wasn't much time for anything else.

Not sure on a price, I would have to say $15000 range. The 525 efi stg 2 kit goes for 12,999 in a polished finish. This had a custom 16-rib belt system and the bigger SC.

Our 525 kit comes with a MEFI4B ECM, harness, sensors, etc. I'm now working on adapting the Racepak digital dash so that can be optional as well. Really wanted to do that in this boat, but didn't fit.

Great looking combination, are the motors tilted down in the front or are the pics deceiving. Either way killer looking boat!

I think thats just the picture, motors are in straghit, hatch and boat has a really agressive taper to the back.
