Insurance & top speeds
i was talking to my progressive agent and was told that my max speed could be no faster than 75 but a bass boat can be insured up to 90mph.
Why is it that a smaller less stable boat is allowed to be insured for faster speeds?does not make sense to me:confused: |
yeah, I don't get it either........
|
based on the amount the boat is worth and insured value is in the case of a loss. don't hear about many bass boat incidents.

bass boats carry inland coverage only as well...most offshore stuff needs well OFFSHORE coverage....
|
I dont know if this is cheap but my 25ft convincor with a 454 motor, my insurance is only $485 for the year. I dont know if that is cheap but that is what it is. John

The cost of the boat, any boat, is peanuts as compared to what personal injury costs can be.
Just a thought........Maybe bass boats are cheaper because they normally have a max of 2 people on board. As compared to a pleasure boat with 2-6, or more. Plus, you don't hear of DUI's and night time collisions on bass boats nearly as often. |
Progressive SUCKS A$$! Steer clear from them!

Yeah, the bass boat statement is the exact same thing Bob Luellen said to me when I was looking for coverage on my new boat. :Whatever: |
I had a theft claim. They don't pay! They want to believe YOU are the guilty person.
