Ive bever heard anyone on here use that term before, nth degree. Nice! A guy at our marina used to have a triple 48 Ocean Express with three whippled motors and imco outdrives. Can you say time bomb waiting to happen. He never really used the boat, but when he did he usually broke something. It was usually drive related as well.

Triples is usually a silly idea. It worked back when engines weren't available much larger than 468 and the Hawk 501 was the beast motor. The other was outdrives- problems solved by 6's and arnesons. Triples meant another 1,500# in weight and the drag of the 3rd drive. Now, you can do the same thing with two mildly blown 540's and burn less fuel in a faster boat.

See your other post for some detail on Active/Express/Ocean Express.

A pristine survey, some cat experience and a really knowledgeable agent (Sy or EP) and you just might be OK.
