masher44 09-14-2007 04:05 PM

13 hours before scattering, half was no wake zones.... still have two months of boating here....

ReggieRaft 09-14-2007 04:07 PM

I to went out a lot less than last year. Only 2 poker runs down from 5. But did use the new jet skis a lot. 50 bucks a day compaired to 500 for fuel.

Here too. The problem is that we haven't had a phucking drop of rain for the 10 weeks that my junkbox has been down. Getting the boat back tomorrow morning. Care to guess what's in the forecast????:chimp::chimp::ernaehrung004::ernaehru ng004:

Zudnic 09-14-2007 04:09 PM

I go everday day around 6pm until dusk. launch ramp and parking lot is empty every time. Weekends I'll launch earlier in the day noon or little latter. I'm glad I went the cheap little jet boat get me on the water route. SBC 350, gas every 2 days under $50 per fill. :cool-smiley-011:

10 weeks?????????? WTF! Did you hit a bridge at 70?

fantastixvoyage 09-14-2007 04:13 PM

Haha...4 trips to the bay(boatwhored) and two races. Never even bothered with getting the motor in the boat this year...hell I dont think the trailer moved an inch!

But the motor did grow and sprouted a blower so it's not all bad!!! Now I've just gotta trailer it south or wait till spring...damn this is gonna be a BAD year for cabin fever!!!!!!!!!

Maybe 3 hours on the 24 python (sold before Memorial Day). I took it out twice - once to make sure all was well, and another for the test drive

15 hours on the sea ray - the lake was flooded for 2 months.

All in all a very chity summer, but atleast I didn't have to pay to not use a boat.

Ms PatriYacht 09-14-2007 06:15 PM

we got in one month this year, that's it:(. All of May and June Ian rebuilt both engines. We finally went out the weekend after July 4th, then we used it every weekend:D Then small nagging problems ruined ALL of August , a bad ingition box kept us out of our clubs main poker run at Put In Bay, then two weeks later a tooth broke off a gear in one of our outdrives on our way out to a fun run. We got it back in shape in time for Labor Day, we rode over to Kelly's Island on Saturday, stayed in the marina all day Sunday and on Monday when when were were leaving we sucked in so much seaweed it took 8 hours to get it unclogged. We ran the best we had all season last Saturday on a fall poker run, but crappy weather sent us home on Sunday. Now the weather is in the 60's so not sure how much more we will do. To make matters worse Ian spent so much time wrenching week nights from June through August, that we took our ski boat (sits behind our house on small lake) out only once all summer. I would say this summer was much more about wrenching then boating:(

Clay Washington 09-14-2007 06:18 PM

I only made it out 50 to 60 times this year.

And the year's not over yet! :party-smiley-048:

mstng72 09-14-2007 06:43 PM

I think we got out about 25 hrs total between the Formula and the Sonic this summer. The Formula is getting winterized on Sunday and then shrink wrapped some time next week :(. The Sonic will come out of the water and have the bottom cleaned on Sunday but I think we will be in trailer mode the rest of the season.

Mike 35 Fountain 09-14-2007 07:01 PM

Went out twice.........each time about 2 hrs

GOFASTJUNKIE 09-14-2007 07:11 PM

Went out about 5 or 6 times. Spent most of the time in "no wake" zones rafted and swimming. One more time here and then I will done, schedule won't allow and more boat. However, have a motor upgrade planned for winter so we will be able to get started early. Once again putting more money into it......Same old story.......

jafo 09-14-2007 07:17 PM

I've only made it out twice- once in Canada, once here. The season isn't quite over yet; there's always the fall run when the leaves turn (soon) and we never miss that. We're expecting 34 for a low tonight........

GoodTymn 09-14-2007 07:23 PM

125hrs. and $5k in gas, still lookn for more warm days.

cosmic12 09-14-2007 07:36 PM

sonicator 09-14-2007 07:41 PM

Sounds like my day's in my old boat. I was on it six nights a week - I took it out at least 4-5. There was Karaoke night at one place on Sunday, Regea (sp?) at another on Tuesday, Weds. was chicken wing night, Thurs. just run and fuel up for the weekend. Friday, Party-in-the-park, Sat. run to the island to party!!

The only two ride's I've had in 5 years was the last three years - a blast in the gulf with Ratman in his Cig, and the Cumberland PR last year.
At least this time I have promise for next year - have a hull in the drive way, and the motor is currently being gone through.

Brought the boat home the weekend of the shootout, and started tearing it apart the next weekend.

Next year should be different:D

BJM 09-14-2007 08:32 PM

20 TOTAL hours on 3 blown engines. This summer has been expensive and frustrating. Still had a good time though!

THEJOKER 09-14-2007 08:42 PM

Oh I win this hands down. I've spent over $ 200,000 since buying a boat company in 2000. I live on the water and have a pontoon boat and a ski boat. I have some happy customers but still can't afford one of my own boats , go figure. I went out on the water (2) times this summer.

rchevelle71 09-14-2007 08:47 PM

2 hours on the Pantera.................but I didnt even get it wet 'til labor day.

masher44 09-14-2007 10:10 PM

Let me clarify.... 15 minute idle out to Drip, 30 seconds across lake, drink for 8 hours, 30 seconds back across lake, 15 minute idle up creek, drink for 8 more hours at marina....

speed demon 09-14-2007 10:36 PM

I just looked at my log, it was worse than I thought. Only made it out 11 times for 22 hours. I usually average 25 outings for 50 - 60 hours a year. I was going to have it winterized next week but I hear it's going to hit 80 again so I hope to get one more ride. I hate fall & winter!

BY U BOY 09-14-2007 10:36 PM

been out 7 times had to be towed in once. I blame it on the rain.:violent-smiley-045:just glad i can boat untill november and start again in april:)

yesrej 09-15-2007 09:11 AM

ive been out every weekend this summer but ive only put 18 hours on the boat. alot and i mean alot of rafting this year. i spent more money on beer then gas this year.

Magic Medicine 09-15-2007 09:16 AM

Not me I have had a good summer about 40 plus hrs of trouble free boating!:ernaehrung004:

Michael Garibay 09-15-2007 10:29 AM

The least in the last 11 years owning a boat. About 40 minutes the day I sold my 31' Scarab out of Newport for a sea trial .The 38' is still being put together. I went to the Desert Storm poker run on my friends 33' Daytona -about 5 hours that weekend. And Labor day 1 hour on his 33' Daytona, had to bring it in because of a power steering leak. And the next day about 5 hours on his 24' Suntracker pontoon boat. Pathetic Mike:(:(:(

wigginout 09-15-2007 10:41 AM

I think Dockman wins this one.:(

You might want to hook up a hose in the driveway and let them idle, just to make sure you burn up all the the left over gas from 2006
