is it me or has this been a bad year for offshore boats we have lost a couple of racers and biulders. Maybe its time we all startting thinking harder about making our ever faster boats safer. That said, my condolences go to thier families.

As an update, according the the LA Times, they are in the process of using an ROV to search for the bodies and wreckage, as it is very deep. Here's the article:

"Remote Vehicle to Search Lake for 3 Bodies"

According the the witnesses, the boat hooked hard left, and apparently barrel-rolled. Speculation is a siezed engine or drive (mechanical failure).

This tragedy has hit everyone (including myself) very hard. As I posted earlier, we are trying to put together a tribute vinyl decal for our boats, as well as offer something for the families from the board members.

I'll try to keep you posted.
