Default European CE Certification?? Mr. Cozzi, any insight?

Looking to get a single engine 525EFI/XR powered boat European CE Certified for export from US/NJ to Germany.

How is this done?
Who can do this?
How much does it cost?
Anyone that can do this in New Jersey?

I know about the pre-certified engines (EU662 SCi, etc.) from Mercury.

I know you can have a particular boat certified by HIN and power package.

Does anyone have any insight to share?

Thanks in advance!

CE is a euopean standard that pertains to electromagnetic radiation. Numerous electronic components are stamped with the "CE" mark that indicates compliance.

That is just one standard out of several CE standards.
For boats we are talking about the Recreational Craft Directive.
You can read more about it here:

I know that many Danes who import used boats from the US use the following company to deal with the CE certification:
http://www.navalis-ce.eu/
If you can order boats from a manufacturer of the same type as the boat you are interested in with CE certification, then it is normally not a problem to get a boat CE certified by the above company even though the boat in question is not CE certified.
But I can see from the below link that there seems to be a dealer in Belgium of Active Thunder so I guess somehow CE certification has been dealt with on at least some Active Thunder models:

Probably should have said that I would guess that Germans also uses: http://www.navalis-ce.eu/ since it is a German guy that runs it.
