We just ran this boat at the SCOPE poker run (only time in its life in salt) at it ran awesome! This boat is super clean with real HP500's. If I could sell my 29 I'd upgrade to this boat!

I would also have to question why a 1997 boat would need to be completely gel coated.
My bet would be blisters.

Love the all white look!

A guy at my marina has a super clean 97 or 98 36 Outlaw and has always been kept high and dry and I noticed blisters on his. Could be the reason for the gel coat.

Looks good. I hear blisters make it go faster!

Kenny.....he is talking about the boat.....not his dik.

Do check on the history to see if the stringers were addressed. We had a local dealer that had to recall and repair several of the first few years of 36's. I was on my buddies 36 outlaw over the weekend at the OSS races and it runs great with upgraded 502's pumping out about 450hp a side. I will tell you that I would have the boat surveyed regardless and verify the two things mentioned and that is the blistering and moisture in the transom which is a result of problem #1, especially if it was left in the water for any period of time. Good luck, like the white look. Hammer

I looked at this boat pretty closely a couple of years ago before the current owner purchased it. Do a search on hotboat and you can find a huge thread on it. It did have bottom paint on it and those famous Baja colors (purple, teal, etc), thus the new gel. I think it had been a bank repo boat and was in poor shape. At that time, the owner had just had the motors gone thru by a reputable builder in Havasu, forget the name. I think the boat could have been had at that time for about $64K. If it hasn't been abused since, I think it's a lot of boat for the money, the previous owner just got upside down on it. Definitely have the survey done, good luck. :ernaehrung004:
