When it comes to Rooster tails the Unlimited Hydro Plane boats are number one but the Offshore Pro Series boats are a very close second. After watching the 2007 Detroit Gold Cup Race with the Offshore Pro Series I'm hooked. When you have high speeds, engines roaring and rooster tails shooting up and racing close to the spectator's on shore with helicopter's flying 30 ft. above the race boats there is no other motorsports which is more exciting to watch. Now that I have been spoiled I want to see them racing as close to the spectator's as possible for 2008.

Unlimiteds are cool however I miss the sound of the V-12 merlin and griffin powerplants of yesteryear.

LOVE THE TAIL....And maybe it'll love you back:D

I hear ya. Growing up in Windsor I use to hear the Unlimited Hydro Planes of yesteryear racing around and there was no mistaking the sounds of the V-12 Merlin and you knew when they were in town for the Gold Cup.

Since jets were brought up thought I would throw up some great jet boat pics throwing roosts...
