I will tell you this, there is no cleaner 46 than Double Take. The boat is spotless inside and out. If you are in the market, this Skater is THE 46 to get.

Whatever happened to Category5???

Buddy OO 10-25-2007 09:40 PM

i KNOW lICK tHIS sold for 315k which was an awesome boat and probably one od the fastest most customized 46's ever built, can't imagine any of the current 46's for sale would be worth more than that in this market, any thoughts

bgchuby01 10-25-2007 10:21 PM

double take took 1.4 million to build and you can eat your dinner in the bilge. Looks like it is still at the factory. I towed recovery to extreme and it also is a very nice boat. BUt they are two different boats

Not sure where you got that number? You are a little off.

Buddy OO 10-26-2007 02:49 AM

i KNOW and spoke to the 2 other guys who gave offers on it, one of them had check in hand and was getting ready to fly out to buy it and it sold that day. It was a fair number, Boat is still in Havasu.

offshoredrillin 10-26-2007 06:08 AM

A part owner of awesome wants to buy a skater? me thinks something funny is in the midst...I always hear a splash when I jump in deep water.

Buddy OO 10-26-2007 07:56 AM

Saw the recovery boat at Performance shop here at LOTO, thought it was a 46, but its actually a 40, sorry, heard a price on it, just wondering what the market was, Awesome has its own molds, dont need anymore, no splash here, anyway boat has awesome paint job.

Pro1 10-26-2007 08:19 AM

Double Take Is Immaculate and beautiful!!!

Lick this was supposedly a boat that the owner only wanted.

Double Take would be my choice.

You get what u pay for.

The number was in the 400's with Paul Tracy's motorhome/tow rig. That info came from JT.

Buddy OO 10-26-2007 04:02 PM

Sean, found out the 40's are pigs, except the new ones like bad, sounds like a 46 equally powered will be faster than the 40's , got the real price also , you are correct, It is at Johns shop, paint is very nice, big sterling 1350's and crash boxes.

pbam22 10-26-2007 04:07 PM

what do you mean pigs:rolleyes::Whatever:

That's a funny one. You bring your new 46 with 1350's and I will bring my 40 with less power and we will see whos is the "pig".:Whatever:

Buddy OO 10-26-2007 05:24 PM

spoke to 1 guy who has one and 1 who had one and sold it, they told me the bottom design on the 40's were'nt good, and have been changed, one had the 1150 sterlings and only saw 125mph, that is weak, what has been your experience with the 40, info was just what I was told by owners, rode in August's old skater with merc 1,000's it saw 120.

Those numbers have to be wrong. Either the boats weren't set up right or the drivers couldnt run the boats. I've been in a 40 skater with 1100 cobras and saw 142 without the sticks all the way forward, and it was running nice.

"pigs"

I,m sorry sometimes I take this internet stuff seriously.:D

Sean H 10-26-2007 05:34 PM

i have been side by side with dennis in the 40 recovery at 150, didnt seem to shabby.... you were there jim in your nortech, although i doubt you could see us at that point.... :D

i believe the bacardi 0^3 40 ran 160+

Buddy OO 10-26-2007 05:39 PM

big yellow cat confirmed the 125mph in Dave's old 40 with 1150 sterlings with Dave on the sticks and stuck to the dash, ex Skater employee said the bottom on the old 40's was just not efficient, not many out there and it had to be redesigned. It now is a fast hull .
