So what would be the speed diff be between it and a upper 2000 model? MPH? hull bottom difference?

Seems like an OK deal but will Markell insure it? Thats the main problem I would think.

That's a beautiful boat and would be a blast to own. However, present insurance prices on that piece of machinery is almost cost prohibitive for most folks. I could insure a Cessna Turbo 206 on amphibious floats for less $$$ (and it's faster and a lot more useful).
It's not easy to stomach insurance on a seasonal piece of recreational equipment like a cat when that alone costs you $10/day or more. I'd agree with a previous post- the outboards are a more attractive route with that boat.

yes Jeffrey still owns the boat, I brought it to him and yes it came from the NE. Boat is super clean, Jeffrey did somework to it and it looks new. I will be happy to bring it back to the new owner if he needs help
