I'm looking to restore a 1983 Chris Craft Scorpion 168. I know this isn't a go fast (still saving) but I figured with all the knowledge on the forum maybe I could get some valuable insight. My main concern is all of the wood, especially the floor. I hope to have the upostery done this winter. The engine and hull are in good shape. I hope to start with the enterior and go from there. Any insight on completely such a project would be greatly appreciated. I was hoping to complete the floor and wood replacement myself, if possible.
Thanks!

Head down to the Paint & Fiberglass section down in the technical area. Your biggest concern should be determining if the wood in the transom and stringers has any rot in it. Then you need to make sure the stringers have no damage or separation. lastly, you need to find out if the bottom is straight. There's no sense in investing time and money into a hull that lacks structural integrity or is hooked from sitting on an improperly fitting trailer.
The good news is the CC is a very well made hull. They're not light though.
