Hawk's is closed for renovation. The main dining area has been demolished but you may be able to eat at the marina restaurant. The villas are still open but the main hotel is just a shell of a building now.

The Dockside or Docksiders in the harbor next to Sombrero Key Resort has good burgers and such with a cold one of course. What about the grill at Faro Blanco?

Our idea is to run up Thursday, have lunch somewhere and then meet the Thursday group at Sunshine Key for the run back down

Faro Blanco is bare ground except for the lighthouse. Hurr. Wilma took care of them.
In the process of permitting to rebuild.

Last time we were in Marathon to watch the races, we ate at the Seven Mile Grill three times a day. I've been going there since the mid seventies. Nothing fancy, but good groceries.

We stayed in Marathon last year for the races. We liked Burdines, which is on the water. Nice tiki atmosphere and good food as well. We stopped at the Fisheries but didn't end up eating there for some reason, forgot why now, but sure wish I would have tried the lobster reuben, sounds good. I've got maps and flyers from the area if anyone wants me to scan something and send it to them. Let me know.

When I was down there I ate at Berdines, Key Fisheries and a few others... The best one that comes to mind was the one that had a sunset view of the bridge...I don't recall the name.

Burdines is a good place to go. I went there with Thrill a couple of years ago by jet boat. Downside: all beer, no liquor
