TUFF 28 goes 95mph with 525efi

This boat's approach is to be more like a giant Alison. It is a pad bottom, no steps. All surfaces are balsa cored and bagged. The front has no cabin, just carpet.
I like the idea of running stock power and make the boat develop the speed. It is certainly a smaller market, it is not practicile for the family over nighting or anything.
It is a stock 525efi on an ITS. In hind sight I should have gone with a stand off box for more set-back, would have been better. I have not weighed the completed boat, but it should be about 3,500lbs.
Airpacker; I don't think your drive shaft will reach because of the ITS.

Here are few pics I took of Mark in motion on the Muskoka Lakes in Ontario late this summer. Had a ride as well and I can tell you, that is one sweeeeet boat.
All the best Mark.
Bob
PS sorry Mark about interupting your video shoot on Lake Couchiching in October ! LOL
Just had to get out for one last rip before the boat went south.

Not to take anything away, those are awesome numbers, but since you said its like a big allison, does in run well in ruff water. The boat looks so low that Im not sure I would like to be out in even real 2-3's. Whats the deadrise on the vee?? Does it chine wlak at all?? Like someone said before, what do the Tuff's run money wise. Also pad bottoms dont have the rep of having great rides. Again not to take anything away those are fantastic number but how much of an offshore boat is this. It does look really sweet though!!

Great lines. I look forward to seeing it again soon. Congrats on the numbers! That's amazing with stock power.

How is it in the rough?... Well, I have not had the opportunity to compare in a side by side test. People who have had boats like the 29 Fountain and bigger Formulas have reported that the TUFF boat was much more solid and secure feeling that those production boats.
The boat is 22.5 deg
Hey Bob, you should have seen your boat from where I was, when you turned the sun lit up your whole deck as it leaned and carved. That was a missed photo opp.
I am avoiding the dollars thing on this thread as it is probably not approprate in this forum. Contact on tuffmarine.com.

Like everyone else has said great looking boat with impressive numbers. Did you and Dana ever think about getting back into racing with your boat? If not and you want someone to drive "your" boat for you, I'll volunteer.
