That was Clay Wilsons old boat - The boat raced as "Sea Escape" for a couple of races, with Errol Lanier on the sticks -

Good luck on your project! Do you have any schematics or basic drawings of your boat? It would be interesting to see what you are doing! Are you going to use honeycomb panels or use ribs? Did you see the unfinished alluminum project on this website? I think it was 40 ft and built with honeycomb bottom, lots of room inside. I think they are trying to sell it? It is a beautifull boat. jim Been working on the new 34' Deep-Vee Offshore boat - Pics and drawings follow... http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...e/CIMG0555.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...e/CIMG0553.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...40708008-1.jpg Some drawings of finished ideas.... http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...NB_800x551.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...abmarine/3.jpg I'll read all of your posts and answer any questions in a bit - thank you for all of your help - appreciated! |

Thought some of you might like to see the final product (why do prototypes always take twice as long and twice as much $$ ???)

Hit 58.9 mph with the twin 350's. Although the speed was about where we expected (I had hoped for 60+) the boat felt as if too much hull was still in the water. It never got really "light". I think that there are 2-5 more mph in the hull. We'll see! |

Blacklabmarine "Thunder Boat Row" was on 188th St. No. Miami, Florida. That is where as many would say "Offshore 1st started" it was the home to Magnum, Formula, Donzi, Bertram and many others but most remembered for the Cigarette, built by Don Aronow. Pick up the book Searace by John O. Crouse and let yourself be truly enlightened. :food-smiley-007::ernaehrung004::food-smiley-007:
