LAKESIDE RESTORATIONS 11-18-2007 03:32 PM

It looks like they will all be built to order from what the mag said, but I wonder how many a yr they are anticipating building? J

bblythe 11-18-2007 03:37 PM

They are just pulling hull #4 this week the second is going to mercury to get dialed in

thisistank 11-18-2007 03:50 PM

The price is overboard imo... When you can pick up a new 40 MTI 6 seater with 700's and NXT's for under a half a mill.

What was the prob with Profile? Just curious.

Coolerman 11-21-2007 04:30 PM

How fast does it run with a pair of 700's?

I really don't think you want to there..... With that said I couldn't believe what I saw in that artical, I thouht I heard Randy went down big time:eek:... Now we need Dean to let us know what the real story is:rolleyes:

Buddy OO 11-21-2007 05:28 PM

40 MTI new 6 seater with 700's/NXT -- 499k, pier 57 and ask for Frankie, he'll set you up, and yes 700k is crazy for an unproven boat, can't imagine how they could sell one. nowhere near as good looking as an MTI

Not known to be a very high quality or well built boat. I have heard many stories of poor construction. Used to be quite a few at LOTO. I have seen a few from the mid 90's and everthing I saw in them looked pretty cheap. I also saw a brand new 33 when they first came out. The boat had so many waves down the side, you could go surfing. I have heard the quality of materials has improved.

NJgr8ful 11-22-2007 10:47 AM

Well according to the Extreme article, Profile going big time 'production' too many boats built and him losing 'control' is why Randy got out of Profile 3 years ago. Don't know any history with Profile, but his comments regarding new boat Co. Liquid Glass is .. they will be for a very particular, discerning customer. He said he will NOT build for someone with a deadline  "You can't rush these things" And also mentioned he was not looking to squeeze every last MPH out of his hulls, like other cats out there. Safety and amenities is what he is striving for.

Pricey and long build times, but hopefully a good product when all said and done. :drink: I tip my hat to them and wish them all the best!

I also just read the article..The 760K is the retail, not what we the consumer pay for the boat. No different then other manufactures. Also a few good points on making boating more reliable, less costly by smaller insurance premiums using Merc 600sci, 700sci motors vs 850's, 1075's and 1200's offered in some of the other manufactures boats. Miami boat show debut...

cosmic12 11-22-2007 11:53 AM

Good Luck to anyone that buys one.... From my own dealings with him I learned the hard way that he would never---- never get another dime from me. Lieing- cheating- thief. And I don't wish him luck with this new company.

Buddy OO 11-22-2007 01:11 PM

Man whats up with the profile guys, have heard numerous bad stories, what was the primary complaint against them, How can they sale boats with so many unhappy customers

Let me guess he wants paid up front too:rolleyes:

I guess that would be a small market, rich and stupid

Some guys buy the no/unfamiliar name rigs because they want to own something different than everyone else... 9 times out of 10 they end up getting the shaft with a piece of junk they can't sell when the time comes to do so. IMO

nocigarette 11-23-2007 06:08 AM

I think it looks ugly....The inside looks cheap......That is a market that cant be tapped.....(skater,nor tech, mti) what is that guy thinking...

jeff32 11-23-2007 09:43 PM

When I saw the article, I thought the boat was really looking good! Don't know about this guy and the Profile history but I definatly like the look!

GO4BROKE 11-24-2007 07:41 AM

He said he will NOT build for someone with a deadline

Between all the Profile horror stories and that deadline quote, I wouldn't touch it. Leopards don't change their spots.

cosmic12 12-01-2007 07:07 PM

There has to be more to this story than we know. He didn't leave Profile for the reasons he said. His production was not that high... There are way to many holes in his stories. I have heard to many myself. But I can't wait to see this all unfold and I am sure it won't take long.

my00b16si 02-18-2008 05:19 PM

hey guys,
From a personal stand point here i can say myself after spending countless hour designing and building the interior for this company, with our company..this is a far more advance and complex interior you will find in most boats no detail left un touched. so before bringing it down give it a real first hand look for yourself not just threw a magizine picture. sit in it. feel it like i said no detail missed.. and ill shake the persons hand who can tell me how the rear bench is built:D

Miami show last year had a 499K sandwich board ad on the deck of the boat. That was last year when they were hot, the 700 was new and the economy was still humming along.......

Seen some pic's of the "Liquid Glass" on another Thread which was on General Boating Discussion. Pic's from the Miami Boat Show. Looked pretty nice.

38Lightning 02-20-2008 08:25 PM

OHHHHHH WEEEEEEEE.

Get the voodoo doll out!

legacy 02-20-2008 08:51 PM

I looked over the boat hard in maimi didnt get in it but looked at it for a while, they have some issues that they are ging to have to address, look in the photo in # 34 at where the pins for the bumpers are, bescides having to stand on our head to put in a pin, they look like they are so low to the water that they wold get broke off by a dock anyways! just my.02

legacy 02-20-2008 08:53 PM

oh btw, if I knew 700 was the price tag I wouldnt of even wasted my time looking at it, thats a crazy price tag!!!!!!!!
