I took the boat out again today. I got it running right now that I fixed the broken fuel and bleeder lines. I could only hold it open for about 10 seconds before the overheat horn would go off. It has a Torquemaster case with only side water intakes. The shaft is 4.5" below the bottom, but for some reason, it sucks air when I get up to speed. I only expected to be able to run about 60 before it got out of control. I discovered that if I keep the nose in the water a bit, it's not to bad to drive. Now for the biggest surprise.

I put the Sportmaster on and raised it up 1.5". I had a hard time controling it over mid 70''s, but my friend had it running low 80's pretty smoothly. I had a GPS in the boat, but it screwed up and showed a max speed of 123.4! I know that was way off. I'll probably just go ahead and put the 60hp on it before someone gets hurt.

I really like these threads and I am really interested in these mini-speedboats!!!
Are there any out there that need to be restored or are for sale? I am wanting a 2nd boat for the summer!!!! |
