I took the boat out again today. I got it running right now that I fixed the broken fuel and bleeder lines. I could only hold it open for about 10 seconds before the overheat horn would go off. It has a Torquemaster case with only side water intakes. The shaft is 4.5" below the bottom, but for some reason, it sucks air when I get up to speed. I only expected to be able to run about 60 before it got out of control. I discovered that if I keep the nose in the water a bit, it's not to bad to drive. Now for the biggest surprise.

I was by myself, so no way to video it. I hope to next time. I was very surprised that the boat could be driven at those speeds. If the boat had a pad, I'm sure it would really scream. I told the wife about it. She asked if I had a death wish! I just said "NO" but it sure was fun! Here's some more pics from today.

Wildman,

You may find the boat will run better getting the foot out of the water. You will feel a little more top heaviness, but she should feel a whole lot better without dragging the whole lower below the surface.

It made a huge difference on my boat:
