Report him to ebay as not completing the transaction. If he cancels account/doesn't respond, maybe ebay deletes the negative feedback? If a buyer wants something you're selling, he'll read your feedback and see the other guy is a douchebag.
But I'll agree, as a seller, get paid upfront. One negative feedback doesn't cost you anything.

DO some xmas shopping,have your wife buy some lip gloss,chap stick,SHOES, and you'll get your feedback right back up there .You can also hit the HELP on ebay and send ebay a email and they may change it for ya there pretty decent takes them a while but .
