News reporting Brett May got smacked by another truck while transporting a Cig in Fort Lauderdale.. He's OK, the boat (Elway's ?? ) is on the side of the road sans trailer....

Be careful out there folks...

OSO 11-21-2007 05:08 PM

Yes confirmed on the news and pics of American Muscle III sitting on the grass on the side of 95, glad Brett is OK.

Be cauureful everyone, this is a very dangerous weekend to travel.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Tony Montana 11-21-2007 05:11 PM

Wow:eek: Glad he is ok

Chris Sunkin 11-21-2007 05:20 PM

I'm just in from a half-week on the road. People started losing their F-ing minds about mid-afternoon Monday. By this evening, I thought I was being over-run by the cast of Road Warrior. I'm staying in until Monday.

I feel for him.
I know exectly how a boat looks and how it feels in your stomach when it's up side down. :(

This is on I-75 a few weeks ago.
Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving everyone.

It's tough to dodge between the bluehairs going 45 in their Buicks and the Joe Dirt-types going 105 in their jacked-up Novas. And that's before you hit the urban areas! ;)

packinair 11-21-2007 09:22 PM

that really sucks, stumbled upon the boat on ebay

I also live in South Florida.. and to be honest with you that statement is pretty damn accurate. I would have just changed from (Nova's) to those Japanese lawnmower cars !! and you fogot the truck driving immigrants that have no licenses, lights , brakes, etc..

open87 11-22-2007 06:25 AM

guess they can take it off of ebay now.. nice boat...

Yep, I experianced some major bad driving and road rage this week. I drove from Tampa to New Port Richey to Tallahassee to Jacksonville back to Tampa on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Jacksonville trip usually takes 3.5hrs at most. This time it took 5 hours 45 minutes!!!!!

Yeah, what is it with imigrants in Miami and no brake lights????

sommerfliesby 11-22-2007 08:17 AM

It ain't just Miami kids! Right here in good ol' landlocked Frankfort, IL the roads are FULL of beat-ass pickups loaded to the gills with landscaping crews. My neighbor got whacked by one a couple weeks ago. No license, no insurance, etc.

BRD 11-22-2007 08:42 AM

You see the suv run thru the Jiffy Lube in Columbus Ohio on the Natl. news last week ???? Buddy of mines store , gonna cost him the busiest 4 weeks of the year , guy had NO insurance , No papers , illegal immigrant , and the kicker .... His name ..... Eric Estrada .

You can't make this **** up folks !??!?!?

I feel so bad for Shorty Schultz, That is his boat. He bought it from John Elway last year. I saw Frankie and Shorty on the KW run during the lunch stop but saw them limping back on one motor later in the day. I hope the boat is salvagable and can be repaired for their sake. They are GREAT people

NJgr8ful 11-22-2007 10:33 AM

WoW that sucks. Glad everyone is OK?! Another super nice rig with a 'history' to remember :( :(

CigDaze 11-22-2007 11:27 AM

Ya, no sht....people have been crazy all week. I'm staying off the roads.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this. Everytime we have a holiday weekend, people are so amped up over having an extra day off, they start driving like idiots, passing on double yellow lines, riding people's bumpers, weaving in and out of traffic, passing on the shoulder (even on the freeway), drinking and driving, etc. Usually, by the last day of the weekend, these morons are so hung over, the roads empty out, and I can finally emerge from my house and enjoy driving again without undue risk to property or life.

They have no brake lights until you rearend them, then they plug them back in and call their lawyer.

Man, that dash is friggin wicked! I have had the motors pic on my desktop for about a month now.

long duck dong 11-23-2007 08:38 AM

I wonder just how bad the damage to the boat was. I'm surprised no one has posted a link to a news report or something yet..
