We ran up through Charlotte Harbor a few days ago. Here we are at Harpoon Harry's.

Read the board under Fort Myers Offshore and join our next fun run.

Nice... as I read this the sheriff’s office comes across the TV stating we are now under a level 1 snow emergency.

I'm not complaining though we were in KW just a few weeks ago. :D

Next time you get down here, you need to call me. The last time you were here, we could not get the OuterLimits off the lift, due to a very low winter tide. Next time, we will hope for just a little more water, and go have some fun. My office number is 941-697-0200.

I still think alot about the race boat days, when we were living the dream. Everyone here, has fond memories of those days.

Always good to hear from you.

No kid'in, this sux! I just walked out to the beach here on the lake about a half hour ago (dont ask me why) it is pure evil out there. Got my azz back in the house quick. Its blow'in pretty good and the snow stopped out here but i could see a band of snow over the western end of lake Erie, could see Monroe and Detroit glowing in it. Oh well . . . . head'in back to Fla on Thursday . . . screw this! :drink:

It's gotta be cold coming off the lake!

I talked to some family from down river (Riverview) earlier this evening and they were getting hit then. I tell you what it sure is nice here during the summer but man once this cold sh*t hits I'm all for the south!! :D

Harpoon Harry's looks like a bad place to get a cigarette thrown over into your boat burning some vinyl:( But looks like a cool place to hang out:ernaehrung004:

Thank you for the invitation.

We were actually plaming on doing the Thanksgiving fun run, but I injured my back a day before the event, and it was not until the following Tue, that I was able to do much of anything.

We are considereing the run to South Seas Plantation Dec 8, but it all depends on the weather and if I can get my wife into the boat. If we decide to go, I will post our information in the FMO South Seas Plantion thread.

It was so nice again today, after church this morning, I went boating again.

Today I took my other boat, a 2004 Stingray 230LX with a Mag350mpi and bravo-1.

Todays Air-temp: 81
Humidity: 45%
Winds 7mph WSW
Charlotte Harbor, light chop <1ft
Boca Grand approach from the harbor: 1-2 ft chop
Gulf: calm to <1ft

I enjoyed a trip down Charlotte Harbor, out Boca Grand pass and down the Gulf.

Pics: going south down Charlotte Harbor, Burnt Store Marina can be seen to the left on the horizon. PRA has used this as a lunch stop several times.

In the Gulf, leaving the beach (Cayo Costa Island) where I was anchored for a while.

On the inside of Cayo Costa Island, where I was also anchored for a while.

Just so you guys not boating this weekend don't get to gold, I was wishing you warm thoughts, as I swam back to the boat from the beach.

If you want, you can come do a Survival swim in Barnegat Bay this weekend :drink: UGH I hate winter survival swims

Hot Duck 12-02-2007 08:21 PM

We went out last Saturday, but it was only in the 40's here. It was fun, but it felt ridiculously cold at speed.

I lived near and on Barnegat Bay most of my life. I swam in it, boated on it, raced up and down it (in sanction powerboat events), ice skated across it, buy never saw or did a winter survival swim. It is nice to know that those who protect and serve us on the water, take the time, and work hard at being properly trained. THANK YOU.
