since the motors are supposed to come back "fresh", looking and performing as new..wouldnt an exchange program work even better?? send them a motor, in c couple days you get one back. quality should be consistant, down time would be greatly reduced..motors could be sent to authorized exchange centers...you tell them your comming in next week..they have the 'fresh motors' waiting..drop of the boat, come back the next day and the engines have been swapped and your good to go...spend good money for merc motors, get good service

is that price really that far out of line to have factory fresh motors given what you are spending for them in the first place and the relability????

im sure any one of the highly talked about motor builder's on this site can refesh one of those motor's for half of that merc, price . so in other word's get both motor's done for the price of one 
.
they dont even include new ring's or pistons from merc at that price
