I build homes for a living so I have a great flooring contractor that I work with . I just selected a very thick pile carpet and they used my carpets to template and had the edges bound .
We do that all the time for area rugs and stair runners .
Then I hired my local canvass guy to install new dome snaps .
The whole process took just over a week and was relatively cheap . The carpet I chose is not an outdoor carpet but I figure if I get 3 or 4 years of comfort I can just d o it again .
