well monster is open for online commerce

they have trick pricing on the gaffrig stuff, but looks like everything else went up.

They better not have Trick pricing on the Gaffrig Product.

That was the biggest issue most of the competitors had with Trick. Not that they sold product, everyone is entitled to sell, but stupid was selling just above cost on almost everything.

Here's an email he sent to my potential customer about CMI headers when Ateco was given the Distributorship:

"Don't expect the prices to remain low with this little price war. I'm actually going to raise my listed prices [probably tonight] and let the new guys loose their asses with their newly advertised prices. I sell multiple lines of products so I can switch my selling emphasis to more profitable items while the dust settles. I operate with my own money and can afford for the product to slow down and sell fewer sets at more profit. My European sales of headers are strong and I supply several dealers over there. That won't change.

The "other guys" have a single product and are spending outside investors money. I know what they pay for headers as a new distributor and it's more than myself and Bob Teague pay. With investors looking for a return, they won't be able to hang in there with no ROI for any length of time.

At this point even CMI realizes they made a mistake by granting them a distributorship and is contemplating forcing minimum advertised pricing."

Boy did he know what he was doing!!! He actually cut the prices the next day, stole headers and never paid for them...great plan Fred!! And where is he now?? Again - couldn't happen to a better guy!!

I've got a question on the Monster Marine subject. I've read where they took over the website, but not the debt. My products are advertised and can be purchased through the new site, but I've not been paid. I also haven't received a phone call or email about carrying my products. So if a customer orders my product from Monster Marine where is the product coming from? They would've had to of taken Fred's inventory to sell, so they owe me money or there selling what they don't have? Just trying to figure this mess out.

Donnie I hope that is not correct. Sounds like Monster Marine is no better then Fred. My guess is this site only lasts a few months. Screw them if they are playing games like that this early in the game. Good luck collecting!!! My guess is that Fred is a better scammer then any of us know and he pulled a fast one on Gaffrig and Gaffrig is about to find out that they are holding the bag with a LOT of Debt. I am sure that Lavorsi will be happy to pay them back for the whole name suit!!! :party-smiley-004::party-smiley-004:

Therein lies the problem, gaffrig said they took over the site only(as said on here) YET they are still advertising your product that in essence is "stolen"...call and demand them to stop...personnally I think Trick is trying to get rid of the other merchandise under the monster name, if Gaffrig has anything to do with this, they are as far as DONE in the marine business with me.

I'm surprised there has never been a comment/post on OSO from Gaffrig themselves on the take over. One would surely think that they would want to nip it in the butt and clarify any doubt.

Something is still fishy with this whole deal. Me thinks Fred is Monster Marine. Until proven otherwise.
