crossed a subs wake on the way to block island.
it was heading into groton, ct.
didn't see it, until after crossing 7-8ft wake.
it was about 3/4 mi away.

Looks to me like a Russian Typhoon class ballistic submarine.....like in the movie Red October.

thats a Russian Sub, it looks like a Akula cass II sub or a late model thyphoon, a Russian Nuclar sub would not surface off the cost?, great photo, the pic if from a forighn place, not off our coast.

Here is the one in Jax. The patrol boats around it brought us down to a crawl and directed us away from the sub at gun point. They also told us not to take pictures but my wife just clicked away anyhow.

On our last run to Block Island, this appeared!!!

The sub was on its way into Groton, CT

Makes your boat feel a little "small"!!!
