I'm so sorry. Why these things happen, we will never know. Kind of reminds me of my brother. We had high hopes and he was the apple of my parents eyes. Soccer scholarship pretty much took his life due to head injuries, that and the rugby thing. He thought it was real cool, but now he is on disability and I can hardly talk to him. Now he is severly depressed and starting to talk of the suicide route because girls won't talk to him and he can't keep a job and it just keeps getting worse. Sometimes he can not even talk, not that he made any sense anyhow. I fear the worse and we are powerless. There is only so much we can do before the guy has to help himself. You can't blame yourself. I just turn that key and hear the rumble and everything else seems to slip away.

Very sad news, sorry for your loss. Prayers and thoughts as your family gets through this rough time!

On the outside it is very hard to determine how depressed a person may be. All seems normal to surrounding family and friends. It takes a trained eye to see the process evolve. I believe at a certain point a person looses rationality and the solution to there problem is the only solution in their mind. The family cant blame themselves for not recognizing the coming event.
I know this doesnt take away the loss, but it may help explain at this troubled time. I have know friends that have lost loved ones in this manner and it is difficult to grasp an understanding.
