prop question
What is usally faster, mirage or labbed bravo, for a 24 outlaw 502 mag? Would my drive shower inlet tube sticking an inch or so below the cavitation plate cause my prop to slip?
your drive shower pickup is behind the prop.. it should have nothing to do with slip. Most of the time a 3 blade is faster, but with 4 blades you get higher cruising MPH, better holeshot etc... :)

It feels like my prop is slipping most of the time, but I'm not used to my new boat yet, only had it out 3 times, so I was wondering if a labbed bravo might grab better and go faster :p
ooops wrong smile
you mean slipping coming outta the whole or it just doesn't feel right? a 4 blade would reduce the slip figure...
what kinda rig is this. boat, motor, drive etc.. |
Blows out above 3,000 coming on plane, and does not feel right at wot its a 1997 24 outlaw 502 bravo 1 spinning a 23'' 3 blade at 5050 at 68-69 mph
A 4 blade would help... hmm I am stil thinkin....
i'm thinking mabye a labbed 24'' bravo
that should help. being 4 blade, 24" bravo and labbed, it would get more bite and bring the RPM's down a little, so holeshots wouldn't break lose that bad.. plus a 4 blade might make you feel more secure at WOT. You can only experiment bud ;)

I can probably borrow a non-labbed 24 from my buddy at the baja dealership, I wonder how much difference labbing will make
